A video tour of our new house before we started the demolition work. It’s pretty boring, but you get the idea of the layout of the house. Floors have already been torn up and bathroom is half gutted. More pictures to come….

Do You Digg Best Buy?
Recently I was doing a little research on the Flip video cameras and when I was on Best Buy’s site, I noticed a few new features. Under the customer reviews I was able to share a product by adding to Facebook, Digg or del.icio.us. In my opinion, I think this is a great effort on Best Buy’s part to use social media and help others be the spokeperson for their products. At least they are making the tools available to their consumers…which from what I’ve seen, is a step ahead of their major competitors.
So all that’s good & well, but I do have a problem with the Digg piece of these new additions. I felt Facebook and Del.icio.us were a good fit, but Digg didn’t feel like the best platform to share retail products? If I saw an entry on a product submitted to Digg, the chances of me actually digging it are very slim. It would have to be a pretty good deal, so maybe that is their justification? Use it only for really good deals? Or maybe they see it as their consumers are promoting their products to other consumers, but it just didn’t sit well with me. Do you guys feel otherwise?Bottom line I applaud BB for their efforts and just making an attempt to join in the social media playground.

Almost a year later, the wedding photos are finally in! I’ve uploaded the ones I like best on to my Flickr page. I didn’t want to bore you w/ over 200 photos! I’ll include my rant about my lovely photographer (Zimmerman) in a later post and why wouldn’t recommend him to ANYONE!

Our first attempt at using social media with our restaurant employees on KFCNation. This is a video submission for the My Life @ KFC contest and the 1st one that really captures what we’re looking for. The Leadership team is thrilled! This is really just scratching the surface and we have a LOT of potential with the site as a whole, but I’m pretty excited that we at least took our first step.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
